Annabel and The Ant

“Don’t you think this newcomer looks kind of scrawny? I hope the plant food helps.” Ant crawled up one of the stalks talking as he walked. “It’s so puny, no better than an old thorn bush.”

“She is a rose bush,” Cornelius corrected.

Ant was not impressed.

Cornelius continued, “See those buds? It won’t be long before our newest friend will appear. She will be a welcome addition indeed.”
