Green Tea

Green Tea

What I Realized from making a pot of Green Tea

gunpowder green teaI make a small pot of gunpowder green tea every morning. I carefully measure out just the right amount of tea and place it in the infuser basket in the pot and add hot water. I wait nearly a half hour for the tea to steep (I am a coffee drinker and enjoy my tea strong and flavorful). I then remove the infuser basket and remove the wet tea leaves. That is when it dawned on me “the last shall be first, and the first last.”

It hit me I actually had a physical demonstration of Matthew 20:16.

Matthew 20:16 (KJV)
So the last shall be first, and the first last …

wet gunpowder green teaThe first bit of the hot water rehydrated the tea leaves allowing them to release the wonderful yellow-green tea. The wet tea leaves that were removed at the end of the process held the first bit of the hot water that was pored over them. Huh! the last was the first and the first was the last. It was plain as day.

I wonder just what other Biblical explanations are about us every day that we just don’t notice?

So what did I see when making a pot of green tea?
